公元2008年7月20日是“功夫影帝”李小龙逝世35周年的日子。35年前，他凭借不屈的肉体闯入西方人的视野，催垮了西方人的傲慢，将“中国功夫”刻在了英文字典上；35年后，各界人士以各种形式深切悼念已经远去的英灵。其中，再现李小龙先生传奇经历的电视剧《李小龙传奇》即将播出。
35年前李小龙离去时，留下了年仅三岁的女儿李香凝，35年来，李香凝一直追寻着父亲的足迹，致力于功夫电影的发展和李小龙精神的弘扬。
在这个特殊的日子，中国国际电视总公司、中视影视制作有限公司、《李小龙传奇》摄制组联合央视网诚请“龙迷”用网络共寄思念。《李小龙传奇》摄制组专程与身在异国的李香凝女士取得联系，李香凝女士在得知此次活动后特地撰文表达对父亲的思念：
女儿遥寄哀思 李小龙精神永存
2008年7月20日，我母亲和我将会在西雅图举办纪念父亲李小龙逝世35周年悼念会。我父亲和我哥哥李国豪都葬在西雅图。届时我父亲和哥哥生前的学生，朋友和所有怀念他们的人都会出席这个隆重的集会。每个人都会在他们的墓前三鞠躬，以表达对他们的哀思。虽然我们无法久留，但我父亲和哥哥对这个世界所做出的贡献会让我们永远铭记那一天。
我父亲和哥哥的墓地位于一座山上，俯瞰华盛顿湖，环境很幽雅。7月20日那天人们一定处处能感觉到父亲留下的斗志，也正是这种精神使我们35年后仍紧系在一起。我希望不管你在何处，你能在今年的7月20日哀思李小龙，因为不论是一篇文章，一张照片，或一部像《李小龙传奇》似的电视剧，一个人的一次挂念，都有助于李小龙这个传奇的延续。今天乃至以后的岁月，请与我们一起纪念李小龙！

On this July 20, 2008, myself and my mother will be in Seattle commemorating the 35th Anniversary of my father’s passing. My father is buried in Seattle alongside my brother, Brandon. We will have a large gathering of students and friends along with anyone else who will come to pay their respects. We will bow three times for each of them. We will burn incense and share out thoughts. We will not be there long, but we will pause on that day to remember my father (and my brother) for the positive contributions they made to the world.
It is beautiful there at the cemetery. It is on a hill overlooking Lake Washington. It will be a beautiful moment filled with positive energy - this energy that he inspired in us and that still 35 years later brings us together. I hope that wherever you are in theworld, you will stop and remember Bruce Lee on this 20th day of July. Because just in the way an article, a photo, or a show such as The Legend of Bruce Lee helps to commemorate him, every time any one person remembers him, they too become a part of helping the legacy to live on.
